Lambrini Owner Buys Controlling Stake in Hawkshead Brewery

Drinks provider Halewood, whose brands include Lambrini and Crabbies cider, has acquired a controlling interest in acclaimed Lake District alcohol brand Hawkshead Brewery.

The deal will see Halewood entering into the brewing industry for the first time, with a new brewery, expanded production and a route into new markets expected to be among the benefits Hawkshead will receive in return, although the exact structure of the deal is yet to become clear.
